Volunteering

 

Volunteering is a way to gain a lot of skills that can be transferred into a workplace. These skills include; confidence, communication, responsibility, teamwork and innovation.  Most importantly, from the process of volunteering, young people will gain a sense of personal satisfaction gained by assisting another person which will enhance their social awareness.

Fundraising

 

Troop 1865 raises funds through two major mulch sales in the fall and spring. Scouts deliver the mulch to each customer.

Camping

 

Camping at night

Organized camping is a creative, educational experience in cooperative group living in the outdoors. It uses the natural surroundings to contribute significantly to physical, mental, spiritual, and social growth.

High Adventure

The thrill of BSA's High Adventure Bases runs far and wide across America, and nobody in the world is better at sharing those experiences than the Scouts. Nobody.
